Visit from WHO center and Karolinska Institute, Sweden

Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology Kristina Gemzell Danielsson and Research specialist and obstetrician Annette Aronsson paid a highly appreciated visit at the hospital, together with medical doctors and phd-students Caroline Salminen Frisendahl and Emelie Looft- Tradgardh, from Department of Women's and Children's Health, Karolinska Institute.

It was a short but fruitful and productive visit. CEO Harrison got the opportunity to discuss reproductive health, a topic of common interest and engagement, with the visitors.

Dr Aronsson, who is the director of WHO center in Sweden, held a very informative CME (Continuous Medical Education) on post-partum hemorrhage and post-abortion (miscarriage) care, two conditions that cause the majority of maternal deaths around the world.

The MIDWISE care model was introduced as a very interesting focus for collaboration. It is a network model using accessible and innovative digital solutions to bring down the maternal and child mortality.
