About us
Health care and Education for the people in kinondo
Kinondo Kwetu trust fund has three main activities:
-to run a health center to cater for quality health services for the people in Kinondo
-to sponsor studies for children whose parents cannot afford to pay
-to support the local primary school
The population in Kinondo villages are among those with the lowest income per capita in Kenya. When we, a Swedish family, came to southern Kenya in 2005, to open Kinondo Kwetu Hotel, we saw that the people in the nearby villages did not have any basic health care and that the state-run primary school was in a very bad state. No child continued to high school studies, because their parents could not afford to pay for their schooling.
That is why we started Kinondo Kwetu trust fund.
The fund is financed by donations from foundations and private persons.
